Hairspiration

As a hair fanatic, and wannabee hairdresser, certain hair styles and colours, really inspire me.  Naturally, inspiration leads to creating or (in the case of going to a qualified professional) getting it done.

For me, my personal favourite websites/apps, for "Hairspiration" or  Hair Inspiration, include Tumblr, Pinterest and Instagram.

My personal favourite at the moment is stunning turquoise and green coloured hair as well as edgy undercuts.

Everyone's style inspiration, Kylie Jenner, previously had hair to dye for (as of recently she has extensions and the hair is different colour).
The long, ombre/dip dye, turquoise/teal bob and undercut was so edgy and made her stand out from her sisters.

The undercut is a great way to transform any ordinary hair style, to an edgy, "punk" style.
Whether a hidden undercut at the nape of the neck like Kylie Jenners or the one below.

Or a visible one on the side of the head, while adding volume to the remainder of the hair.

Have a Good Hair day guys! ;)

Review: Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spike

Ok so, these shoes.. oh wow. When I first saw these, I was in absolute awe of them.

I wouldn't even be able to describe my style, but these! these(in my mind) are soo me.  They're slightly rockerish yet they're just so beautiful and modely.

I'm one of those tumblr addicts, so of course, I'd see them soo much on my dashboard.  I really just had to have them.  Of course them being around the 200 euro mark, it was looking unlikely, but there was no chance in hell that I was getting fake ones.  I had been stuck with shoes that always cut my feet when I was out and left me wanting to go home 90% of the time.

Then my grandmother gave me money for college, and yes, I bought them.

Anyway, I had read about how unbelievably comfortable they were.
I would have to partially disagree, my first wear, I wore them out without socks or any padding around my ankles.  I cannot even describe the pain, which left me with burns around my ankles.
Now, although, I was abit annoyed, I still wanted to give them a chance, so the next time I wore socks that went up part where the shoes stopped at the ankles and padded them up a bit.
No complaints from me after that.  I honestly could wear these shoes all night as long as I have socks on, just incase.

They also go with EVERYTHING.  I love these so much, they make every outfit stand out and just give you that tiny bit of edge that a lot of people dont know how to bring to an outfit.

If you want comfort though, you have to spend the money.  I would not spend money on a fake pair that will hurt your feet.

On the plus side, I bought these in SCHUH and because I had a student discount, I got them for about 140 instead of 190, which was the best feeling ever.

They do fit, to the size though, so make sure you try them on, before you purchase them.

I would definitely recommend these to everyone though!

Have a great day guys..

Pink and Purple dip dye on brown hair

So a few people have asked me how I dyed my hair like this.

Before I explain how I did it, I must explain that it partly includes extensions as my hair was cut really badly in a Hairdressing Academy a few years ago, making it somewhat thin at the ends so before hand, I got my hair cut quite short. So it made me a wee bit attached to my extensions at the time.
Anyway, I went from this..

to the pink, purple and brown dip dye.

Now as some of you may know, the transition from brown, to red, to brown again, is not a fun transition at all.  Without stripping it to get it go red, you have to keep dying it red and allowing the roots to grow out gradually and adding the red each time, well that's how I did it.  Now to dye it brown, damaging it as little as possible, I had to dye it brown twice or three times.  The more you wash your hair, the more the red keeps coming through.

Anyway, from there I had to strip the ends of my brown extensions and my hair turning it, a bright ginger colour.

Quick warning here guys.. you're not supposed to bleach or strip brown hair extensions, it normally results in the hair falling out or damaging the hair.

Also, brown hair extensions will never go properly blonde.

Anyway, so I deep conditioned both and bleached it two days later. Ok so this where I'll just put in steps and stop with the ranting. :)

1.  Bleach using Crazy Colours Bleaching kit.  Its a blue powder bleach meaning that it takes out most of the brassy colours that a white powder bleach wont.

2.  This turned my own hair a kind of yellow colour, and my extensions went a carmel colour which was as light as it would go.

3. I then used Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink on the mid section of the extensions, brushing the pink into the brown to make it look more "dipped." I kept the end of the extensions blonde.

4.  Once finished the pink, I lastly, moved on to the purple.  I couldnt find the right purple in Manic Panic (I was abit disappointed as Manic Panic is my favourite hair dye), so I used Special Effects Wildflower on the ends and blended the pink and purple in to one another to get the colour.

Tips and Info
  • I found that, the Special Effects was fast enough to wash out, where as the pink lasted for about three and a half weeks without fading.  I only had to dye it every three and a half weeks as it would just about start fading to a flamingo pink at that stage.
  • I should have known this before I started but, as the ends of your hair is the driest part, bleaching it tends to dry it out more.  So by the time I was pretty much tired of my hair, the ends were pretty dry and hard to work with, so I found myself dying my hair back dark brown after about 3 or 4 months which restored it back to normal straight away.

Have a great day guys..

Introduction

Hey guys, I'm Shawna, or Kuraaku as I normally prefer to go as.  ^_^

I've noticed a lot of really good Fashion Blogs floating around the internet lately, and thought, ya, I'd love to do that and so here I am.

I'm rediculously into fashion, fashion photography, hair, and makeup.  Like many people, I don't like to stick to one particular style, or hair colour.
One thing, I'm particularly proud of would be my hair and my makeup.  Although, I try different hair and makeup, I always keep it healthy, and when it doesn't I'll change that, I've made afew mistakes during the years but who doesn't.
Anyway, I'm rambling now, I thought I'd write about, and show where I get my inspiration from my tips on makeup, hair etc., and any other things I think of. :)
So ya this is my introduction to my blog, hopefully I can update this often enough.
Enjoy :)

Have a great day guys.
